Congratulations to the 2023 Million Hearts® Hypertension Control Champions
According to the Million Hearts® initiative, cardiovascular disease is responsible for one in three deaths and costs about one in every six healthcare dollars in the United States.
In support of this goal, Million Hearts® recognizes healthcare providers across the country as part of its annual Hypertension Control Challenge. In order to be recognized, healthcare practices must achieve hypertension control rates of at least 80% among 80% of their population ages 18–85 years who have hypertension.
As of 2023, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recognized 167 Hypertension Control Champions across 42 states and the District of Columbia.
