A Successful Vaccination Partnership with the Montgomery County Immunization Coalition

Quality Insights' partner, the Montgomery County Immunization Coalition located in Pennsylvania, is actively promoting COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations to all Montgomery County residents. The coalition has worked diligently to strengthen its Influenza and COVID-19 Committee, a collaborative effort of 125 partner organizations focused on educating and engaging communities on the critical importance of vaccinations. They also collaborated with local partners to develop a program that provides COVID-19 and influenza vaccines to homebound residents.

The coalition hosted two "Ask the Experts" events—one in English and one in Spanish—focused on fall and winter vaccines. These events, which have garnered over 1,500 views, gave community members direct access to local healthcare experts to answer vaccine-related questions and address misinformation.

Additionally, the coalition partnered with nine senior centers, the Montgomery County Office of Public Health, and Giant Pharmacy to deliver Health and Wellness Education Programs at centers across the county. These programs covered topics such as updates on adult vaccines and heart-healthy tips.

So far this year, the Montgomery County Immunization Coalition has supported 103 clinics, administering 1,213 flu and COVID-19 doses, and continues to offer clinics during this respiratory virus season.
